STEM FIT Symposium
Conversations on Teaching and Learning in STEMThe inaugural STEM FIT Symposium: Conversations on Teaching and Learning in STEM took place on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. At this regional symposium, STEM faculty discussed their recent pedagogical innovations and best practices in integrating evidence-based teaching in STEM.
The symposium began with a plenary by Mark McDaniel, PhD, Professor, Psychological & Brain Sciences, Washington University; co-Director of CIRCLE; and co-author of Make it Stick: The Science of Successful Learning. The plenary was followed by 50-minute talks and posters on a wide range of STEM teaching topics.
