Providing Verbal Feedback to Students (Danforth Campus)
Wednesday, April 4th, 2018
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Cupples II 203, Danforth campus
Introductory Level; Provides preparation for Mentored Teaching Experience and foundation in effective teaching strategies
As an AI, often students feel comfortable coming to you to talk about their coursework. They may ask you about an assignment, a grade they’ve received, or for feedback on their work in your class or the lab. How do you provide effective feedback in these contexts? In this workshop, participants will learn to navigate challenges associated with providing verbal feedback and discuss strategies for successful communication.
This workshop will be offered twice, once on the Danforth Campus and once on the Medical Campus. Each instance is listed as a separate event in the calendar and graduate students should only register for one workshop.
Facilitators: Dr. Julia Johnson, Assistant Director of Academic Services, The Teaching Center and Dr. Megan Gregory, Assistant Director of Academic Services, The Teaching Center
