Job Opportunity: Teaching Center Orientation Workshop Facilitator

The Teaching Center is seeking a graduate student or postdoc to work with our team to facilitate a Foundations in Teaching workshop during the Graduate Student Teaching Orientation in August 2019. The Foundations in Teaching workshops are designed to introduce participants who are new to teaching at the college level to evidence-based teaching strategies that are applicable in varied disciplines and teaching contexts. This fellowship is open to any graduate student or postdoc who has completed Teaching Citation, Preparation in Pedagogy, or the Practitioner level of WU-CIRTL. This position requires familiarity with foundational pedagogical topics as well as excellent oral communication and teaching skills. Applications are encouraged from those who are interested in educational development and teaching.

This position pays $400 and will encompass approximately 25 hours of work through in-person meetings with Teaching Center staff, research into the topic, and facilitation of the workshop. Please note that applicants must be available to facilitate a workshop at the two Graduate Student Teaching Orientations, one held on August 14th on the Medical Campus and one held on August 21st on the Danforth Campus.
