The Teaching Center

The Teaching Center develops online materials that identify and discuss a wide range of teaching strategies that can improve student learning. These materials include Teaching Commentaries, a series of videos featuring insights on teaching by some of Washington University's most innovative teachers. In addition, Gina Frey (director), Beth Fisher (associate director), and Pat Brown (assistant director) collaborate on a collection of handouts called Teaching Tips. These handouts present ideas and suggestions that draw on the classroom expertise of Teaching Center staff and on recent pedagogical research. The ideas and suggestions collected in Teaching Tips also inform The Teaching Center's workshops for faculty and graduate students.
