Teaching Strategies
The Teaching Center develops online materials that identify and discuss a wide range of teaching strategies that can improve student learning. These materials include Teaching Commentaries, a series of videos featuring insights on teaching by some of Washington University's most innovative teachers.
In addition, Gina Frey (Executive Director), Beth Fisher (Director), and Michelle Repice (Research and Communications Specialist) collaborate with the rest of the Academic Services staff on a collection of handouts called Teaching Tips. These handouts present ideas and suggestions that draw on recent pedagogical research and on the teaching expertise of the Academic Services staff. The ideas and suggestions collected in Teaching Tips also inform The Teaching Center's workshops for faculty and graduate students.
