This workshop will introduce participants to cognitive-science research on learning and memory that is relevant to teaching at the university level. Participants will learn how to design and implement classroom activities that incorporate retrieval practice, which may improve learning and help students monitor their own learning.

Participating in advanced-level workshops for graduate students does not satisfy departmental requirements to attend Teaching Center workshops. The departmental requirements are satisfied by attendance at a specified number of introductory-level TA-Training workshops.
