Foundations in Teaching
Students come to our classrooms from widely varying educational, economic, and cultural backgrounds. These unique characteristics and identities are fundamental to creating a rich educational experience. But how do we ensure that all students in our classrooms are heard, valued, included, and respected during class? Participants in this workshop will brainstorm the different identities and backgrounds that comprise our classrooms and discuss strategies to reach all students during the classroom experience.
Facilitator: Dr. Denise Leonard, Associate Director for Graduate Student and Postdoc Programs
Registration will open two weeks prior to the workshop. For questions, please contact Dr. Denise Leonard.
