Introductory Level; Provides preparation for Mentored Teaching Experience and foundation in effective teaching strategies
It’s your first time delivering a lecture in a course, where do you begin? You’ve been asked to deliver a guest lecture as part of you Mentored Teaching Experience, what now? Students who attend this workshop will learn strategies for designing and delivering effective and engaging lectures. This workshop will discuss the process of organizing a lecture, how to avoid common issues, and specific techniques for incorporating active-learning opportunities into a lecture.
This workshop will be offered twice, once on the Danforth Campus and once on the Medical Campus. Each instance is listed as a separate event in the calendar and graduate students should only register for one workshop.
