Advanced-Level; Satisfies requirements for the Teaching Citation, PiP, and WU-CIRTL
Increasingly academic search committees are requesting that candidates prepare materials related to inclusion and diversity in the classroom. This Professional Development series workshop will explore different ways to reflect on, document, and communicate a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Participants will examine the purpose of a diversity statement, identify generic expectations and conventions, and discuss strategies for demonstrating a commitment to diversity and inclusion in diversity statements, teaching philosophy statements, and other frequently-requested job market materials.
