Workshop on Community-Engaged Teaching

Friday, March 24
DUC 276, 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.

The Gephardt Center is hosting a faculty workshop on Community-Engaged Teaching (CET) on Friday, March 24. CET is a powerful way to integrate real-world experiences into your courses, while connecting your work to the St. Louis community. In this workshop, faculty will learn the nuts and bolts of CET pedagogy, hear about CET experiences from a panel of faculty, a student, and a community partner, and learn about resources and ways to get CET-related support. Faculty who are interested in working with the community as part of their courses are encouraged to attend and explore the possibilities and benefits.

Presenters: Beth Martin, Senior Lecturer in Environmental Studies; Molly Metzger, Ph.D. Assistant Professor, Brown School
